Turpin Laboratories has become “And now this …” because many people found the original name confusing, a problem compounded by the arrival of Covid-19. It was not good time to be blogging from an imaginary laboratory, so I let the project go fallow.
But the site continued to get visits and now seems worth keeping up in some form. Like a lot of retired journalists, I can’t kick the habit. “And now this…” is a way writing about current affairs in a more relaxed form.
Well, maybe: a lifetime ago, my wife and I owned a successful delicatessen (if you count supporting yourself as success) and then a failed fish and chips shop. We’ve never been truly relaxed since.
